What we do

Standardise

Raw references are presented in a consistent, comparable format using standardised fields.

Surface

Key information is clearly presented, including submission dates, calculated expiry windows, and insurance status.

Link to source

Each reference links to its issuing authority. Employers check at GOV.UK, not through us.

What we do not do.

We separate data from decision.

We do not verify the accuracy of information submitted by workers.

We apply basic validation and formatting checks, but we do not confirm that any reference is genuine or valid.

We do not approve, certify, or guarantee any worker’s credentials.

We do not make hiring decisions or recommendations.

We do not conduct background checks.

Indicators and badges show that a reference has been provided and meets basic format checks. They do not mean the information has been verified.

Employers are responsible for independently confirming all references and assessing their accuracy using the official government services linked on each profile.

How we protect your data.

Encryption

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256).

Access control

Worker email contact is made available to employers who purchase credits and confirm responsible use.

Data minimisation

We only collect what is necessary to provide the service. We store the reference details submitted by workers. AI systems operate on limited data and do not access full reference content where not required.

Complaints handling

Dedicated complaints channel at complaints@iam-vetted.com. We acknowledge complaints within 30 days and aim to resolve them promptly. You have the right to escalate your complaint to the Information Commissioner.

Automated checks and AI features.

We use AI in the platform in two ways.

For platform integrity, we use automated systems to identify potential data inconsistencies and apply basic validation checks. These systems assist in flagging possible issues. They do not make decisions. No permanent action is taken without human review. Workers can request a manual review at any time.

For users on paid plans, we use AI to surface assistive content tailored to your account or query: personalised dashboard observations, reminders for credential expiry, context-aware help on the verify page, structured summaries of unlocked worker profiles, AI-assisted natural-language search, and conversational support assistance. These features generate informational content for the user reading them. They do not make decisions about workers, and they do not represent platform endorsement, verification, or approval of any worker.

Full disclosure of AI use, including data minimisation and your rights, is in our Privacy Notices.

Our data processors.

We carefully select the companies that help us run the platform. Every one is bound by a Data Processing Agreement and appears in our Records of Processing Activities.

We also engage WhatsApp Business / Meta as an optional contact channel, distinct from the core operational processors above. This is a scoped processor in respect of WhatsApp Business message data only, not core infrastructure. Use is at the user’s discretion and not used for statutory or formal traffic.
