1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you use our website. They help the platform function properly and keep your account secure.
2. How we use cookies
iam-vetted uses three categories of cookies:
- Necessary cookies: required for the platform to function. These cookies are essential for authentication, session management, and security. They do not require consent.
- Statistics cookies: used to understand how the platform is used in aggregate. We use Vercel Analytics, which uses a request-based hash to identify sessions for up to 24 hours. No personal identifiers are stored. These cookies are only set where you have given consent.
- Marketing cookies: used to measure the performance of our advertising campaigns. We use Google Ads conversion measurement, which sets a _gcl_au cookie (provider: Google, retention: 90 days). This cookie is only set where you have given consent to marketing cookies.
We do not use cookies for cross-site tracking, behavioural profiling, or to share your data with advertising networks beyond Google Ads conversion measurement as described above.
3. Cookies we use
3.1 Authentication cookies
These cookies are required to:
- Keep you logged in
- Maintain secure sessions
- Protect your account
Without these cookies, the platform will not work properly.
3.2 Platform and security cookies
These cookies support:
- Secure access to your account
- Fraud prevention and platform integrity
- Basic functionality of the service
3.3 Payment cookies
When you make a payment, our payment provider (Stripe) sets cookies (such as __stripe_mid and __stripe_sid) to process transactions securely and prevent fraud.
4. Third-party services
We use trusted third-party providers to operate the platform, including:
- Authentication and database services (Supabase)
- Payment processing (Stripe)
These providers set cookies only where necessary to deliver their services.
5. Cookie examples
Examples of cookies we use include session cookies for authentication and security cookies to protect accounts. These are typically short-lived and expire when your session ends or after a limited period.
6. Consent
We use Cookiebot to manage your cookie preferences. When you first visit the platform, you will be asked to accept or reject Statistics and Marketing cookies. Your choice is recorded and respected across the platform. You can change your preferences at any time by clicking the cookie icon at the bottom of any page. If you wish to raise a complaint about our use of cookies, please see our Complaints procedure; complaints are acknowledged within 30 days.
7. Managing cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings.
You can:
- Block cookies
- Delete existing cookies
However, disabling essential cookies may prevent the platform from working correctly.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website.
We review our use of cookies regularly and will update this policy if our use of cookies changes.
